Samut Restaurant

Tucked into a corner of Nai Harn, this trendy restaurant serves up modern interpretations of Thai cuisine with a focus on using local ingredients together with freshly caught seafood. The restaurant is headed by Chef Banky, who runs an excellent team that shares a goal of making it into the next Phuket Michelin Guide.

Samut Restaurant’s rustic interior design might remind you of an old Spanish townhouse. Interestingly, on the outside, the restaurant sees influences from a distinctly Chinese period with its pagoda-like roof which offers an interesting juxtaposition. The warm lighting and lavish use of wood create a relaxed and welcoming ambience and makes Samut Restaurant the perfect venue for the family to top off a wonderful vacation together. In our opinion, it is one of the best instagram spots in Phuket.

L’Arôme by the Sea

When you think of the perfect Instagram spot in Phuket, L’Arôme by the Sea is probably what your mind conjures up. The glass house design of the restaurant gives an unobstructed view of the Andaman Sea and brings true meaning to ‘dining with a view’. If you are lucky enough to reserve the corner table at the restaurant, you and your date will spend the entire evening enveloped by the gorgeous view.

Chef Yannick Hollenstein presents a 7-course meal that is painstakingly prepared for taste and visual perfection. And despite the restaurant being relatively new on the Phuket dining scene, it has already made it into the Michelin Guide for Thailand.

Black Ginger

Mysterious and exciting, the entrance to Black Ginger will make you feel as if you’ve walked onto the set of the latest King Kong movie. Getting to the restaurant is an adventure in itself as you cross a small man-made lake in a raft to finally reach the entrance lit with tiki torches and Indiglo lights. We highly recommend arriving at sunset to fully experience the incredible colors in the sky and how they interact with the restaurant’s ambience. A truly spectacular experience, and that’s even before we get to the food!

Once inside, you will be seated in one of the Thai pavilions that feature a bold black color scheme true to its name. The restaurant serves traditional Thai cuisine. One of the restaurant’s signature dishes is the steamed whole white snapper with chili, garlic, and lime that presents a delicate taste, with the fish perfectly steamed and moist.

Though Black Ginger can be a little pricey, the incredible ambience and quality of the food make it a dining experience not to be missed.
